I am not sure if it happened Thursday or not, but it was announced: infamously strange director David Lynch was dead, likely due to complications with his emphysema and the air quality because of the raging fires in the Palisades. I see an enormous outpouring of love for the guy on social media, especially Threads. I see a lot of people who seemingly have never heard of David Lynch, suddenly having their awakening. I see a ton of diehard Lynch fans like myself, both mourning but rejoicing that we have found like minds in the process. This blog is for both those kinds of people. Despite what the article says. I have bought this now and its on my TBR 12/17/2024 6:19 PM CST Dear Reader, I blew you off on Sunday. You probably haven’t caught on just yet, but I made an unspoken promise to you that I would write a blog post every Sunday, and I failed you. I am a goddamned disgrace, I tell you. But, if I’m being honest with myself, it was for a good reason. Inspiration possessed me as I hammered out the second draft of a story I am working on. The story that I am going to be turning in for that big anthology I wrote about last week.   2/9/2025 8:33 PM CST Dear Reader, I don’t know why I am starting this so late. Probably because I started to feel guilty that I was going to skip my blog this week like I did last week. I know the informal promise is down to a blog three Sundays out of every month, but I wasn’t even going to do that. I must be honest, social media has been a total party ever since I met a bunch of other David Lynch fans, and it has been hell trying to tear me away from anything that isn’t in some way tacitly David Lynch related. I feel I owe you a blog. I am working on two huge blogs in the background: my Street Fighter blog and my INLAND EMPIRE blog.
