1/26/2025 3:39 PM CST Dear Reader, This week we have another book review. In the background, I might have more David Lynch content in store, and I’m working on my now-fabled Street Fighter and the Art of Craft blog. Enjoy: A Darkly Comic Tale of Female Rage Review: On Behalf of All Women - Camille Danciu My Verdict: Fun. Funny. Great Pilot. Gimme Episode 2. A fun and fast paced read. Today, I want to talk about the second book I found because of my time in BoH. One day, while scrolling as per usual, I see the badass cover art (great job by Ruth Anna Evans). From the title and art alone, I said, “Ooo, what is this?” The featured comment below the post had somebody complaining it was unrealistic that a woman would be physically capable of killing all those men, followed by a reply from the book’s author, very politely explaining the commenter seemed to have not followed the story, but in a really encouraging tone. I said to myself, “Self, I fuck with that energy. Self, make...

1/18/2025 9:53 PM CST Dear Reader, On Thursday, January 16 th , 2025, I was scrolling social media, and I found out one of my creative heroes had died. I am not sure if it happened Thursday or not, but it was announced: infamously strange director David Lynch was dead, likely due to complications with his emphysema and the air quality because of the raging fires in the Palisades. I see an enormous outpouring of love for the guy on social media, especially Threads. I see a lot of people who seemingly have never heard of David Lynch, suddenly having their awakening. I see a ton of diehard Lynch fans like myself, both mourning but rejoicing that we have found like minds in the process. This blog is for both those kinds of people. I don’t claim to be a Lynch expert, but I love his work, and I want to talk about it. I want to share all the great content others have made around his work. No other celebrity death has ever hit me like this one, except for Kurt Cobain's (I was young...

1/12/2025 12:22 AM CST Dear Reader, I know I missed you again last week. I know. I am sorry. I think my new commitment is 3 blogs a month instead of a blog every Sunday. So here is the story. I started writing a blog about my love of Street Fighter last week, but I got over a thousand words in and realized I wasn’t even half way done in the journey and not even close to the point I want to make so I just I got overwhelmed and said, “Forget this, I will finish it tomorrow.” Well, I didn’t touch the Street Fighter blog again until yesterday where I wrote another thousand words. I still wasn’t done with it, so I woke up and wrote another thousand words today… and my blog about Street Fighter is still not done. So, instead of releasing the blog in installments, I think it would best be served to be read all at once. I don’t know how long it is going to take me to finish, but it has become a labor of love. In the meantime, I should inform you I have always planned on adding review...
